4 Simple Steps for Vehicle Maintenance

Summer is just around the corner ( June 20, 2016 to be exact) and it is important to do a little vehicle maintenance to make sure your car is ready for the hot temps!

Number one tip is to check your fluids. This includes your AC/Coolant fluids to make sure your air conditioner is running at its best to keep you cool! You should also check your transmission, steering wheel, brake fluids and your oil.

Tip number two is to check the air pressure in your tires. The smallest fluctuation in the outside temperature can alter the pressure in your tire. Also, summer tires can improve your gas mileage. The last thing you should check is the wear and tear on the tread of your tires. If you need any help seeing when you should replace your tires due to a worn tread, check out our previous blog post here

Number three tip is to check your battery. High temperatures can alter the performance of your battery. Also check to make sure the connection on the battery is tight, clean and free of any corrosion.

The last tip is to inspect your belts and hoses on your vehicle. Check for any loose, cracked or brittle hoses. Check to make sure the hoses aren't leaking and are in good condition.
