Today is Feature Friday here at Rath Auto Resources and I am going to show you some of my favorite inventory we have right now - the Dodge Challenger.
I personally drive a 2010 Dodge Challenger RT Classic. Being in the family of the car business, I have owned a lot of cars. The Challenger is where it's at. There is a certain level of pride you have driving American Muscle on the streets. And it can definitely get you somewhere faster than the next guy's Corolla can ;)
But you know, you get more than just a new car when you get a Challenger - you get a whole new circle of friends, connections and relationships. I am a member of Modern Mopar Muscle of the Ozarks, a few Facebook groups and other random people I have met through nothing more than just owning a Challenger.
When I first got my car a few years ago, I was ,of course, posting photos of it on Instagram. I tend to prefer Instagram lately. There is less political drama and no dirty laundry. It's literally just photos - my favorite. Not longer after I began posting pics of my car, I was regularly browsing "#challenger" and noticed there was a female about my age, with the identical car (White RT Classic with Black RT Stripes), and a lot of other similar interests. We followed each other and talked Challengers pretty frequently.
After a couple months of social media conversations, we exchanged phone numbers and pretty much became best friends. The only problem is she lived in New Jersey, and well, I'm in Arkansas. Not only is she obsessed with Challengers, but also Dave Matthews. She follows him every year and sees a handful of his shows. I think the last time we talked about it she had seen over 30. When I got the email from the Walmart AMP last year that DMB was coming to town, she also got the email from being in the DMB VIP email club and we pretty much immediately texted each other. Of course, she bought a plane ticket and came to Arkansas to stay a week with me!
It. Was. Incredible. We spent a week seeing Dave Matthews, doing Challenger stuff, taking pictures and it was the most incredible week. I literally made a new life long friend because of owning a Challenger!
She has since upgraded from the RT Classic to a Scat Pack, packed up and moved across the country from New Jersey to California. She is really living her dream, and is featured in articles and blog posts regularly with her car as well as weekly meetups in our local Challenger group.
I really mean it when owning a Challenger opens you up to connections and fun that you would never imagine! There are so many fun things you can do from local car clubs, car shows, having a car you can always upgrade or modify, fun road trips and meeting random strangers on the other side of the country!
